Here are some of the key programs we worked on last year: - Program 1: In the fiscal year, the georgia music foundation awarded nearly 93,000 in georgia music grants to music programs at 56 k-12 schools and non-profits, serving thousands of students across the state. georgia music grants fund the purchase and repair of instruments, music instruction, summer camp and after-school scholarships, teacher training and more. the georgia music foundation launched a new preservation program, macon music revue, in partnership with visit macon, a destination management organization, to recognize, preserve and perpetual the influential musical inheritance of macon, georgia. the weekly mmr residency and traveling programs served more than 5,000 individuals in person in fy 24. the georgia music foundation also partnered with gretsch to commemorate the family-owned, american musical instruments company's 140th anniversary via a commemorative event in the corporate headquarters of savannah with all proceeds benefiting the foundation.
