About

Join us on October 17th for 19 Acts of Orange and Black.

19 Acts of Orange and Black is a university-wide day of service celebrating the inauguration of Mercer University’s 19th president, Dr. Penny L. Elkins. Across Mercer’s campuses and communities, students, faculty, staff, and alumni are invited to participate in 19 service opportunities that reflect our shared commitment to serving others. Whether giving an hour or spending the day, every act of service is an opportunity to celebrate this historic moment by putting Mercer’s values into action.

This event is part of Mercer University's Countdown to 19, a university-wide celebration of the historic investiture of Penny L. Elkins, Ph.D., as Mercer's 19th president. The investiture ceremony, to be held on October 29 and streamed live, will provide the global Mercer community the opportunity to participate in this landmark occasion from anywhere in the world. For additional inauguration information, visit inauguration.mercer.edu.
